Henson's Consulting is a crisis communications consultancy that works with organisations before, during and after a crisis. Across operational, political, regulatory and reputational challenges, we help organisations spot exposure early, act with clarity under pressure and communicate with consistency — reducing risk and restoring momentum at every stage.
When clients call us
- An operational incident is unfolding and employees, media, authorities and other relevant stakeholders need clear, timely information.
- Legislators, NGOs or media are making serious allegations about your business.
- A regulatory or political development is escalating into a reputational issue.
- You want to be ready: to know your exposure and how your leadership would respond before anything happens.
What we do
Before: issues and risk advisory
Ongoing advisory that helps you identify political, regulatory and reputational exposure early, and prepare leadership to respond with one voice.
During: senior counsel when it escalates
We embed with your communications and leadership team. We advise on management statements, the timing and framing of public communications, and when to speak, what to say and how to say it — while monitoring media coverage in real time.
After: recovery and rebuilding trust
A crisis rarely ends when the headlines stop. We help you rebuild relationships with policymakers, media and other stakeholders, and turn lessons into stronger processes.

How does Henson's support with Crisis Communications?
We advise your leadership on what to say, when and to whom during a crisis, and help your in-house team manage media, authorities and other stakeholders. One of our co-founders embeds with your team and advises directly on statements, timing and framing.
When should we bring in crisis communications support?
As early as possible. Advice is most valuable before an issue escalates — when exposure can still be reduced — but we also step in at short notice when a situation is already live.
What is the difference between issues management and crisis management?
Issues management deals with developing risks — a regulatory proposal, critical campaigning or growing media scrutiny — before they become a crisis. Crisis management is the response once an event demands immediate action. We support both, and the transition between them.
Can you work as part of our existing team?
Yes. We act as an extension of your team, with fast onboarding, and offer flexible formats: project, retainer, rapid sprint or on-demand.
